BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Thank you for expressing your interest in serving on our board. Please note that we will be accepting applications from November 15 to December 1. Candidates will be notified of the outcome by December 16, 2024.
The role of each Board Member is significant and involves a two-year commitment to lead, advise, and support the activities of The GEMS Camp. Your participation is crucial, and we expect members to:
Attend all Board meetings prepared to contribute to the success of The GEMS Camp and uphold the organization's mission statement and goals.
Provide guidance and support to assigned standing committees by offering advice, encouragement, and representing the committee's voice to the Board.
Actively engage in The GEMS Camp's fundraising initiatives.
Identify and nominate potential candidates for vacant board positions to Board Leadership.
Stay informed about The GEMS Camp's activities through various publications, including electronic, print, and social media.
Keep abreast of issues relevant to the nonprofit/education/STEM sectors, aligning with the mission of The GEMS Camp and the broader community.
Serve as a role model, catalyst for change, and professional exemplar within the organization.
